Cheap peace of mind. - Have the previous owner release their smart devices. A Ring doorbell or connected thermostat still tied to the old owner's account will lock you out of hardware you now own. Get those devices removed from their accounts before you try to add them to yours. One practical upgrade we like while you are settling in: swap out old toilets, replacing the entire fixture rather than just the seat, since older ones tend to be wasteful and unpleasant.
