Is there a consumer site to look up rent-versus-price differences beyond Zillow's Zestimate?

We have yet to find a consumer tool that does this well. Zillow publishes a rent estimate, but in our experience it tends to understate what a property would actually rent for, so leaning on it alone can skew your rent-versus-buy math. Reliable rent-versus-price data has to be genuinely local and updated constantly, and no widely available site pulls that off down to the county or neighborhood level. The workaround is to build the comparison from two local experts: - Ask a local real estate agent for realistic rents on the type of property you are considering. They see actual lease activity, which beats any automated estimate. - Ask a mortgage professional for the accurate all-in monthly payment on a comparable purchase: principal, interest, taxes, insurance, plus any HOA or Mello-Roos. Put those two real numbers side by side and you have a far more trustworthy rent-versus-own picture than any single algorithm can give you. Pinning down that accurate total payment for a specific price range is exactly what we do on the free Roadmap conversation, so the ownership side of your comparison would be built on real figures.
